Stunning photos of vintage cars at Chennai heritage auto show,Hundreds of motoring enthusiasts thronged the Heritage auto show to explore the vintage and classic cars and bikes in Chennai. The show is being organised by the Madras Heritage Motoring Club in which around 140 vintage and classic cars and nearly 40 bikes are participating. Actor Revathi inaugurated the event and she was fascinated by the Rolls Royce in which she sat and turned the steering around enthusiastically. While talking to media, MS Guhar, Secretary of the Madras Heritage Motoring Club, said, “We were happy with the turnout to see the cars that have been so well preserved by their owners.” He further added that some vintage cares have been brought for the show from outside Chennai. The Rolls-Royces and the old Mercedes (before it became Mercedes Benz) are the main attraction of the show. Some of the car owners were awarded in the Concours D’Elegance for their precious and irresistible collections. Rajesh Somasundaram won the prize for his 1914 Benz in the category of cars upto 1940. Najim Musvee was awarded for his 1961 Singer (for cars 1961-1975) and Durai Mohan for his 1956 Dodge Kingsway (for cars 1941-1960). Ranjit Pratap’s 1960 Chevrolet Impala (1941-1960) and his 1966 Ford Fairlane (1961-1975) won prizes in the Best Maintained Car category.
